Experience the beauty and mystery of Nan Madol, the "Venice of the Pacific", with your choice of a peaceful kayak adventure or a relaxing guided boat tour aboard our comfortable and weatherproof solar-powered electric boat for an exquisite 30-to-45 minutes journey back through time.
As shown on the map below, the boat tour's journey (marked in red) begins at Nihkawad, cruising to Sowihso, deep into a network of ancient mangrove channels. Along the way, glide through serene, shaded waterways while listening to the whispers of Pohnpei's history as you visit several of Nan Madol's most significant islets, including Pahn Kedira, Kelepwel, Pehi En Mweik, Idehd, and Peikapw, before arriving at the magnificent and mysterious Nan Douwas (labeled Nan Dawas on the map), the ceremonial heart of the ancient city.
Once you have explored Nan Douwas, our boat navigates back a short distance (marked in yellow) to exit the mangrove channels. We then enter the breathtaking expanse of Pohnpikalap (the great sandbed), cruise southward to Pahnwi islet, and loop past Sowihso for a comfortable ride back to Nihkawad.
